The Problem

Europe to West Africa and Brazil is already a proven market — served mainly through Lisbon, Madrid and Paris. WOOjet doesn't reinvent the corridor. It reimagines the hub. Gran Canaria sits at the natural crossroads of three continents, closer to West Africa and Brazil than any European hub, major or minor, and closer to Fortaleza than Lisbon — a natural crossroads that cuts flight times and eliminates the inefficiencies of congested northern European hubs. More importantly, WOOjet is designed from day one to deliver a consistent premium product end-to-end: full-flat Business, Premium Economy and Economy on every leg, with no downgrade between the feeder and the long-haul.

The diaspora — African and Brazilian communities in Europe visit family year-round, regardless of economic cycles. Price-inelastic, loyal, underserved.

Brazilian tourism — Brazil-Europe travel flows have never been stronger. The bilateral market is booming, yet the routing options remain indirect and time-consuming.

African business travel — one of the fastest-growing segments globally, with executives moving between Abidjan, Accra and European capitals. High yield, minimal supply.

The A321neo Long Range was designed precisely for routes like ours — up to 8 hours with full payload, 20% lower fuel burn than its predecessor, and LEAP-1A engines optimised for mixed-cycle operations.

Our dry lease model means no capital tied up in aircraft ownership. Fleet grows by one aircraft per year, with one permanent spare for operational resilience.

WOOjet occupies a space that currently does not exist. No carrier offers direct, premium-configured service on these routes today.

vs. Legacy carriers
Most existing carriers force passengers through their own congested northern hubs — adding hours of connection time, weather risk and operational complexity. WOOjet uses Gran Canaria as a smarter alternative: better positioned geographically, uncongested, open 24/7 with near-perfect weather year-round, and designed from scratch with connections as the sole priority. LPA is not a detour — it is the shortest, most reliable path between Europe, West Africa and Brazil.
vs. Low-cost carriers
While some LCCs can sustain routes up to around 6 hours, they struggle beyond that threshold due to load constraints and uncomfortable seats on long-haul distances. The A321neo LR range, the 3-cabin product requirement and the revenue-per-seat economics of these routes sit outside the LCC model.
vs. African carriers
Ethiopian, Air Senegal lack Schengen base and European distribution. WOOjet operates from Schengen territory with full EU access.
